I want to personally welcome all single Mom's to this blog. I have been a single parent for 13 years and hope my entries and yours lend support, caring and assistance to single mother's everywhere. First, a little about myself: I have two teenage sons who are now approaching adult status and its warming and harrowing to see them now as I remember the work involved with being a single, professional mother. I want to encourage those of you who are starting this journey, maybe after a divorce or losing a partner, that you can do this and you will see your children continue to grow, mature and become the people you want them to be. Your love and caring are having an impact on your children! What you are as a person is being modeled into your children and someday you will be richly rewarded by knowing that you did the best you could given your time and circumstances. I want everyone who finds this blog to add your own insights and advice so we can help each other and build a strong community of mothers who care about their children. Don't get caught up in trying to be a perfect parent. None of us is perfect but we strive every day to get to work, provide support, love and the basics to our children.
